We combine direct speech therapy with parent coaching to help our clients achieve academic success and improve their self-confidence! Speech & Language

We use proven methods to strengthen speech and language skills and tailor our session activities to the needs and interests of your child. Together, we can help your child communicate with ease!
Literacy
From kindergarten readiness skills to advanced reading support, we use the latest research to address reading, spelling, and writing challenges. Our training in the Orton-Gillingham approach as well as programs such as Reading Simplified, Foundation in Sounds, and the Barton Reading and Spelling System allows us to help our clients read and write at grade-level with confidence.
Parent Coaching
Do you suspect that your child has a learning disability? We are passionate about empowering parents to advocate for children with dyslexia early on! We also provide education and tools to support language and literacy skill development in infants and toddlers, because early support can greatly impact your child's success in school and beyond.

Meet Anastacia
Anastacia Lara-Duarte, M.A., CCC-SLP
OWNER, SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
DYSLEXIA SPECIALIST
Anastacia is a speech therapist with more than 25 years of experience treating speech and language disorders, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities. She is fluent in Spanish and has worked with both adults and children in hospitals, clinics, and private practice settings.
Anastacia's professional background and her personal experience of raising a child with a learning difference have made her passionate about treating dyslexia. She has a clear understanding of how to support families through this journey and loves empowering parents with tools and strategies to help. Anastacia's son is now a well-adjusted and confident adult despite his struggle with dyslexia, and she is committed to helping your child achieve the same outcome!

After receiving her bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Inter-American Studies at the University of the Pacific, Anastacia earned her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Whittier College in Southern California. She has since pursued specialized training in reading intervention and dyslexia therapy approaches including Orton-Gillingham, Reading Simplified, and Foundation in Sounds.

Anastacia lives with her husband, college-bound son, daughter, and a yappy Chihuahua. She enjoys traveling, serving a scrumptious meal surrounded by friends and family, hiking redwood trails, and, most importantly, taking time to breathe deeply and appreciate life.

STEP TWO: COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION
Schedule an evaluation to obtain information about strengths and challenges, and get a proper diagnosis. We will meet to discuss the results and my recommendations.
STEP THREE: START THERAPY
Schedule therapy sessions at a time and frequency that works for you. Together, we will work toward therapy goals and support home practice activities.
